Beauty Defined.

beau·ty
"a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight."

My "aesthetic senses" are ecstatic here. Everywhere I go there is something new, different, and very beautiful to discover.

My entire time here I have been lost in the beauty of the manor. I doubt I will ever find it anything less than extraordinary.

The castle is not only beautiful on the outside...

But on the inside as well...

These ceilings in this room (the Ante room) are amazing. They are original to the manor, unlike those shiny chandeliers put in the manor in the mid 1900s.

Looking through the Ante Room into the Long Gallery. Bonus points if anyone knows what the ante room is/was used for.

This ceiling in this room is crazy intricate. A picture hardly does it justice. The ceiling definitely made this room one of my favorites. I believe it is called the State Dining room, but don't quote me on that...

Shields of different families of the area line the upper edge of the walls. Gregory Gregory was the mastermind behind the designs of his house and as they say, always reminded people whose house they were in through his own family shield sprinkled throughout different rooms in the house.

This picture is beyond disappointing. It is supposed to depict the most beautiful combination of stairs and ceiling I have every seen and probably ever will see.

One of my other favorite rooms...

More details of this lovely room...

That room is called the Gold room. But you probably could have guessed that.

Please tell me I can use that adorable wallpaper in my house. I love it! And the huge mirrors.

More beauty to come this weekend during my first weekend trip to LONDON! I can hardly wait. If only I can get through the first week of classes first. ;)
