Adventure is Out There!

Wednesday September 17, 2014

Stamford, England

Stamford is a cute little city filled with 17th to 18th century stone buildings and beautiful churches. The other students and I are lucky enough to be able to go on small field trips free of charge through the college. We only had a few hours in Stamford but it was a nice break nonetheless! Fun fact about Stamford, the town was used as the village of Meryton in Pride and Prejudice. Which makes it even more awesome. Basically we just walked around and checked out the town, but it was nice to see another little part of England.

Daniel Lambert weighed 739 pounds when he died,
if you were wondering what was special about him.

I somehow convinced my friends to walk
down this semi-creepy alley with me.

Stamford was a crazy little town with quirky things like a bookstore that specialized in taxidermy, and the grave of Britain's fattest man. If you told me before I came to Harlaxton I'd ever see these things, I would think you're crazy. But it happened. Adventure is out there.
